Privacy Policy

The short version

YTThumb has no accounts, no login, no uploads and no history of the links you paste. The tools run in your browser; the only server-side piece is a read-only proxy that fetches an image or a public page so your browser is allowed to display it.

What the proxy sees

When you ask for a thumbnail or a video's metadata, your browser calls /api/thumb or /api/meta on this domain with the video ID you supplied. That request is forwarded to YouTube, and the response is streamed back to you. We do not write these requests to a database, and there is no per-user record to look up. Standard technical logs kept by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) — IP address, timestamp, requested URL — exist for security and abuse prevention, as they do for any website.

What is stored in your browser

Nothing persistent for the tools themselves: no cookies are set by YTThumb for the downloader or metadata features, and pasted links are held only in the page's memory until you close or reload it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand which pages and tools are useful. Both may set cookies and receive technical data such as your browser, approximate location (city level) and the pages you visit here. We send event names such as “tool started” or “download” — never the video IDs or links you paste, and never the metadata you read. Clarity may record anonymised sessions (clicks and scrolling) for usability review; form and input contents are not part of what we analyse.

Advertising

This site shows advertising to keep the tools free. Ads are served by third-party networks — Google AdSense where a site is approved, and an alternative network — which may use cookies or device identifiers to select and measure ads. Those partners operate under their own privacy policies; you can control personalised advertising through your Google ad settings and your browser's cookie controls.

Children and consent

YTThumb is a general-audience utility site and is not directed at children. Where consent is required for cookies or personalised ads, it is requested through the mechanism provided by the advertising network in your region.

Your choices

Blocking analytics scripts in your browser does not affect the tools. Because there is no account, there is no profile to export or delete — the only data linked to you is whatever your browser sends with a page request.
