1. What this service is
YTThumb provides browser-based tools that read publicly available YouTube data: cover images served from YouTube's image CDN, and metadata (title, description, tags, video and channel identifiers) stored on public video and channel pages. The tools fetch what any visitor to YouTube could fetch, and return it to you unchanged.
2. What it is not
YTThumb does not download, convert, proxy, stream or store video or audio files, and it will not do so on request. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise connected to YouTube or Google. “YouTube” is used here only to describe what the tools read.
3. Ownership of what you fetch
Thumbnails, titles, descriptions and tags belong to the creators and rights holders who published them — not to YTThumb. You may use these tools for research, reference, backup, accessibility, criticism and other lawful purposes. Republishing someone else's artwork as your own, or in a way that suggests endorsement, is your responsibility and may require the rights holder's permission. If you hold rights in content surfaced here and want it changed or removed, write to support@ytthumb.best and it will be handled promptly.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use automated scripts to hammer the proxy endpoints; the images are cached for a day, and repeat requests should be rare.
- Do not attempt to make the tools fetch anything other than YouTube images and public metadata — the endpoints accept only a video ID or a channel handle for that reason.
- Do not present YTThumb output as officially licensed YouTube data, and do not remove evidence of the original source.
5. Availability and accuracy
The tools are provided as-is, without warranty. YouTube changes its pages, its image URLs and its metadata at will; a size that exists today may be missing tomorrow, and a page that resolves today may fail next week. Where a value cannot be read, the tools say so rather than guessing — treat every result as a best-effort reading of a third-party system, not as a guarantee.
6. Changes
These terms may be updated as the tools change; the date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
